How can we stop history repeating itself?
A business owner told me recently that they have had the same business goals for the past three years running with very little progress made. He wanted to know what can he do this year to change that!
Well, he’s actually ahead of some people because he has goals! But obviously that’s not enough. Here’s a few tips to ensure this doesn’t happen to you.
Once you’ve defined your SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time Framed) goals for the next year, you need to plan daily, weekly, monthly activities to achieve them. This may seem like a lot so break your goals down to quarterly, monthly and then weekly targets. Each week outline the activities that need to happen to get you that step closer to your goals. Keep a score card on how you are doing and review progress monthly. It can help to do this with a fellow business owner friend and to meet up monthly to report progress and hold each other accountable!
