By writing out your S.M.A.R.T. Goals, your subconscious allows the information you need to achieve your goals through to your conscious brain.
At any given time, you are receiving up to 2 million bits of information through your 5 senses.
Your subconscious deletes or blocks 99.99% of this information from getting through to your conscious brain – to protect you from going insane with information overload.
An example of this is when you decide to buy a car.
You begin to see adverts for cars, you notice showrooms with cars, you hear conversations about cars.
About a month after you have bought your new car, you don’t see the adverts for cars or see the showrooms or hear the conversations about cars – your subconscious is blocking out this information.
